Island Survival
About Island Survival
Island Survival combines match-3 puzzle mechanics with survival and crafting elements in a colorful pixel art setting. Players work through six stages on a deserted island, where the main objective is to gather resources, craft essential items, and ultimately build a raft to escape. Each stage presents an 8×8 grid filled with different resource tiles like stone, wood, food, water, leaves, and fire. By matching three or more tiles in a row, you collect the corresponding materials needed to survive and progress.
What sets this game apart is the careful balance between resource gathering and long-term planning. After each stage, the basic raw materials reset, so it’s impossible to stockpile everything. This means you must decide which resources to use immediately and which crafted items to keep, as crafted components like tools, ropes, and raft parts carry over between levels. This design challenges players to think strategically about their crafting choices to prepare for increasingly difficult stages.
As you advance, the crafting system expands, allowing the creation of new tools and structures such as furnaces, workbenches, and eventually raft parts. Survival depends on managing your limited resources effectively and unlocking new recipes that enhance your ability to build and survive. Island Survival offers a unique mix of puzzle-solving and resource management that rewards thoughtful play and planning. The game’s pixel art style adds a charming retro aesthetic to the experience of escaping a deserted island through clever crafting and survival skills.
How to Play
🎯 Goal — complete 6 stages, build a raft, and escape the deserted island.
🎮 Core mechanic — an 8×8 board with 6 types of tiles: stone, wood, food, water, leaves, fire. Match 3+ tiles in a row to collect the corresponding resource into your inventory. Combos of 4 give a bonus resource. Combos of 5 give a "wild" tile (replaces any material).
🔨 Crafting — open the menu to see recipes. To craft an item, you need the required amount of resources. All crafted items (ropes, planks, ingots, nails, tools, raft parts) are permanent and carry over between stages.
🔄 Resource reset — raw resources (stone, wood, food, water, leaves, fire, ore) reset at the end of each stage.
